Bumblebees

There is something ever-zany about bumblebees: the awkward flight mechanics, the cartoonish chromatics, Bumble Bee Tuna and its silly 1970-1980s ad campaigns, scientific names such as bombus hypnorum.

Though they likely take themselves very seriously, for some reason I cannot help but feel they have a sense of humor.

What would a bumblebee prank resemble?
What is it like to be a bumblebee?
Actually, this isn't too far off from the hard problem of consciousness, so the prank possibilities are more suitable.

Argh! This isn't even remotely funny. Maybe I should just cut up the rug and do a fast-footed crazy dance for YouTube and link it here.

Grim Memories of Willy Wonka

The eremite once toiled at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory alongside the Oompa Loompas, wrapping 1000 Scrumdiddlyumptious Bars daily. If he did not meet this quota, he would be dunked, head-first, into the chocolate river and force-fed Fizzy Lifting Drinks until he billowed so high, he would be nearly decapitated by the ceiling fan.

These god-awful conditions were memorialized in the historical fiction account, 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

Talent or Not

My beloved dreamster has devised a funny game:

I tell her something that I can do well and that I also believe has some value, and she decides whether it is a talent or not:

1- I can keep a pair of socks clean and useable for a week.
Decision: NOT a talent!
2- I have a scream that sounds like the scream of a nursing home patient
Decision: CREEPY, but not a talent.

The more ridiculous the proposed talent, the more sardonic and clever her reply and decision.

Pretty fun.
