Whereas Proctor and Gamble, the Mayo Clinic, and Gillette commodify and overly medicalize life extension and antiaging matters, Consumer Reports uses the Occam's Razor of blandness to strip away all but the most bland, trite, collectively known, and uncreative principles, results and products, and, in doing so, competes with Reader's Digest and infomercial afterthought for most vanilla of information resources, more affirming than informing.
